Start where you are. Finish with a UK qualification

The UK system uses levels to show academic stage, not subject, follow the path that fits you, study online with GEA, and complete your final degree with a UK partner university.

Your path starts here

What it represents

A foundation stage for learners beginning the undergraduate journey. It builds the academic skills you need before Bachelor-level study.

Who can enter

  • Completed secondary school (Grade 12 or equivalent)
  • Typically 16 years or older
  • Basic English, enough to follow materials and write assignments
Leads to: Level 4, the first year of a Bachelor's degree.

What it represents

The first year of a Bachelor's pathway. You begin building the core knowledge of your chosen field.

Who can enter

  • A Level 3 qualification, or
  • Secondary school (Grade 12 or equivalent) plus work experience
  • Typically 18 years or older
  • Sufficient English for study and written assignments
Leads to: Level 5, the second year of a Bachelor's degree.

What it represents

The second year of a Bachelor's pathway. After this stage, you choose how to complete your degree.

Who can enter

  • A completed Level 4 qualification
  • Typically 18 years or older
  • Sufficient English for study and written assignments
Leads to: your final Bachelor year, with two equal options below.
After Level 5, the path splits into two Level 6 options. Continue with a UK Level 6 Diploma at GEA, or complete a Bachelor's Top-Up at a UK partner university.

Finish the final Bachelor stage fully online with GEA. You earn a UK awarding-body diploma, academically equal to the final year of a Bachelor's degree.

Frequently Asked Questions

The essentials on GEA UK Diplomas. For general questions about GEA, see our main FAQ page.

A UK Diploma is an internationally recognized qualification that builds both academic and professional skills. GEA's diplomas are awarded by QUALIFI, a UK awarding body, and regulated by Ofqual, the UK government's qualifications regulator, so they are recognized worldwide for employment and further study.
Yes. Every GEA UK Diploma is awarded by QUALIFI and regulated by Ofqual, the same standards that govern UK qualifications. This gives your diploma genuine academic and professional recognition internationally, not just an internal certificate.
Anyone aged 16 and above can apply. You do not choose your level yourself. After you submit an application, our admissions team reviews your education, work experience, and English level, and confirms the level that fits you (from Level 3 to Level 7). This makes sure you start in the right place.
Your Level 4 and Level 5 diplomas count as the first two years of a UK Bachelor's degree. From there you have two options of equal academic value: complete Level 6 online with GEA, or "top up" the final year at a UK partner university and graduate with their Bachelor's degree. At postgraduate level, a Level 7 diploma leads to a Master's top-up (one module plus a thesis) with a partner university.
Fees vary by level, as each level is a different stage of study. The fee for each programme is shown on its programme page. Your fee includes full access to the GEA learning portal, all modules and materials, assignment assessment, and tutor support throughout.
Each level typically takes 6 to 12 months, depending on your pace. Programmes are flexible, so you can study part-time or full-time around your schedule.
Assessment is based on assignments, projects, and practical case studies, with no traditional exams. This lets you apply what you learn to real situations. Assignments are reviewed by qualified assessors who give you academic feedback.
You will have tutor guidance and academic mentoring throughout your studies, plus access to GEA Innovation Centres for a supported place to study and connect with others. Our team guides you from application to graduation.
